The Italian , created by Leo Burnett, is set to the original version of 'Fever', sung by Peggy Lee who first had a hit with the tune in 1956.
Clooney, who owns a villa near Lake Como, has been in Italy recently where scenes from his new movie, also starring Brad Pitt, 'Ocean's 12' were shot.
The ad shows a woman driving her Fiat Idea along a road by Lake Como and stopping to get out of the car, leaving the door open. Clooney is jogging by and sees the car. Intrigued by its stylish interior he takes a closer look, and eventually gets in and starts to make himself at home.
The woman then returns looking cross, and clicks the doors locked so he can not escape. However, when she sees that it is George Clooney in the car, her face softens and she gets in. It ends with the line "George not included".
Along with the television campaign, there are posters also featuring Clooney. The poster campaign has been created by famous photographer Ferdinando Scianna.
The ad was directed by Argentine Pucho Mentasti and created by Leo Burnett's Carlos Mouzo, Enrico Chiarugi and Antonio Vignali. The print campaign was art directed by Stefano Ginestroni and copywritten by Anna Palama.
Clooney is famous for his long-running role as Dr Ross in 'ER', and latterly for a successful movie career including roles in 'O Brother, Where Art Thou', 'Three Kings' and 'The Perfect Storm'.
He has also appeared in an advertising campaign for Campari that only appeared in Italy.
