General Mills' UK chief in US move

General Mills UK marketing director Linda Hipkiss is leaving her post after seven years for a role in the company's US operations.

Hipkiss leaves in September to take up the post of General Mills vice-president of international marketing, based in Minneapolis.

She has held various international roles within General Mills, the owner of the Green Giant and Haagen-Dazs brands, since joining the company in 1989. Last year she oversaw the UK launch of the Nature Valley range of cereal bars.

Hipkiss will be replaced by Ed Culf, commercial director of the company's combined Jus-Rol and Saxby's pastry business. Culf joined the company in 1997 in a marketing role, before being promoted to general manager of General Mills' New Zealand operations in 2002.
