The survey, conducted by the global brand strategy and communications firm CoreBrand, says that the top 10 brands in the US are all worth in excess of $20bn (拢12.7bn).
The survey measures familiarity and favourability ratings for the largest publicly traded companies to gauge how well known and how well thought of a corporate brand is among senior business people.
General Electric, as a corporate brand, is valued at $61.2bn, ahead of Microsoft at $59.5bn and Wal-Mart at $42bn.
Coca-Cola, which is generally rated as the world's most valuable brand, comes in at number nine on the list, with its corporate brand valued at $22.6bn.
"Our CoreBrand Equity ratings communicate the value of the corporate brand in terms CEOs and CFOs can understand," CoreBrand's CEO James Gregory said. "For the first time, we can show what the brand is worth and its contribution to the company's overall value."
