Johnson will take responsibility for global brands gaydar.co.uk and gaydargirls.com, as well as new services GaydarNation.com and Gaydar Mobile, due to launch later this year.
Johnson's role will focus on the development of Gaydar's new customer relationship management and loyalty programmes together with the management of e-commerce affiliate programmes as part of the company's global online strategy. He joins the company on 16 July and will report to QSoft Consulting's sales and marketing director, Trevor Martin.
Prior to setting up Puffta, the UK's first commercial web magazine for gay teenagers, Johnson was new business manager at digital agency GT, part of the WPP Group. From 2004 to 2005 he was affiliate manager for Xbridge, the European commercial finance online strategy firm.
