
The new flavour, Blackcurrant, contains no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives. It joins the existing orange and lemon flavours.
The drinks range, which is distributed by Britvic, launched in the UK last year. Its main rivals include Coca-Cola's Powerade and GSK's Lucozade, with the latter announcing last week that it was launching a range of sports nutritional products under the Lucozade Sport brand.
The sports drinks category was the second-fastest growing category in the take-home channel in 2008, growing 7% to £166m, according to Nielsen.
