
The event will run over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend at the NEC Birmingham, and a new partnership with Island Records will see music acts such as Years & Years, Chase & Status and Wretch 32 perform to an expected audience of more than 100,000 guests.
Insomina60 gaming festival is now in its 17th year, and invites guests to play the latest releases, meet professional players and immerse themselves in video games culture.
The first night of the festival will showcase a number of up-and-coming acts, with the main event taking place on the Saturday night (15 April). Guests will be treated to DJ sets from Jaguar Skills and Disciples, followed by performances from top artists brought to the festival by Island Records.
Guests at this year's festival will be able to explore zoned areas including virtual reality, Turn Up and Play, Retro, Indie, Tabletop and general retail. The Expo Hall will allow fans to discover, try and buy new releases from the gaming world, such as the latest consoles and rare accessories.
Andy Smith, director of The Insomnia Gaming Festival, said: "Insomnia is now bigger, better and even more exciting. These huge music acts will electrify our live stage in April, as we extend the festival to four days by popular demand and introduce some thrilling new gaming features to our fans."
