The free magazine, which will have a print run of one million copies and will be circulated four times a year, by Future, the specialist magazine publisher of titles such as T3 and Mountain Biking UK.

Future will provide editorial content from its GamesRadar.com website, which claims to attract more than six million unique users each month.

The title will be distributed nationwide via 425 of Tesco's largest stores. It will also be available to those who make online purchases from www.tesco.com/entertainment, the Tesco entertainment products website.

The 24-page magazine will offer customers information on which games to buy across video game consoles, such as Sony PlayStation 3.

The magazine will feature a different name each quarter, with the first edition entitled Hot Summer Games, featuring the likes of Grand Theft Auto IV, Lego Indiana Jones and The Bourne Conspiracy.

Hot Summer Games will be available in Tesco stores across the country and with Tesco online entertainment purchases from 16 June.
