Future ups staff after account wins

Future Publishing's customer publishing arm is embarking on a recruitment drive across its editorial, commercial and creative departments, in response to a number of undisclosed account wins.

Future Plus editorial director Mike Goldsmith and head of customer publishing John Gower are looking to fill 20 roles, which will bring the number of full-time staff to 65.

Gower said the firm had recently picked up four big new business accounts and needed to bring in staff to accommodate them. The majority of the positions are in editorial, including a number of senior positions at editor and art director level.

He added that not all the new accounts were pure magazine publishing, but that one of the wins involved branding work.

One of the accounts is mobile firm O2, which recently appointed Future Plus to publish its in-store magazine.
