HMV Games will be available in the retailer's 230 stores from 29 September with a print run of 150,000 and will be published every two to three months with a second edition due in early 2007.
With the magazine, HMV aims to bolster its specialist credentials and commitment to the games market ahead of the launch of new consoles from Nintendo and Sony.
The 40-page title will review the latest games and will offer readers money-off vouchers to spend in store.
The magazine marks Future Plus' second major deal in the past week, following the announcement that it will provide entertainment-led editorial for BT's forthcoming video-on-demand service, BT Vision.
