Full House loses key sales staff as Burda reorganises

Full House ad manager, Laura Cohen, has left Hubert Burda Media just weeks after the departure of the title's ad director, Annabel Wetton.

Cohen has joined Hachette Filipacchi's Psychologies in the same role, while Wetton, whose role was made redundant last month, is now at contract publisher Brooklands on maternity cover for the ad manager of Supernanny magazine.

Cohen and Wetton joined Burda with its UK launch last year and, apart from a junior sales executive, comprised its entire commercial team.

Burda has reshuffled its commercial staff with Cohen's departure and following its acquisition of Colchester-based Essential Publishing in April.

Lucy West, formerly ad manager of TV Hits, has taken over from Cohen and is joined by classified manager Robert Wilson, who held the same role on Essential's Real. The company is recruiting for a third sales position on Full House.

Luke Patten, Hubert Burda's UK managing director, sought to quash speculation that the commercial team will be based in Colchester. "Full House needs to speak to West End media agencies and West travels to London three or four days a week," he said.

The performance of Full House, which had a July to December ABC of 235,787, is thought to have stalled Burda's plans to launch more titles. Earlier this month, it suspended its second title, Living & Gardens.
