FT reuses taxi driver work for pre-Budget television campaign

The Financial Times is returning to TV advertising for the first time in more than a year as it seeks to drive circulation around its coverage of the chancellor's Budget speech.

The paper has not appeared on screen since March 2001. However, a poster, press and TV push is planned to launch on 15 April, two days before Gordon Brown's speech.

The FT is resurrecting the taxi driver ads, first filmed by Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners in 2000, to run across Channel 4, ITV, Sky News and Bloomberg TV. It will be supported by press ads in the Evening Standard and six-sheet posters in London and the South East.

The new print work was written and art directed by Keith Bickell and Carlos Anuncibay. Media is by BJK&E Media.
