The campaign for the subscription-free TV satellite service will focus on its Freesat+ and Freesat HD services. It will illustrate the benefits of pausing, recording and rewinding live TV as well as the immersive experience of HD TV.

Breaking on Saturday night on ITV during Piers Morgan's Life Stories programme, the ad will feature the Freesat brand line ‘Brilliant for everyone'.

The TV activity will be backed by digital and retail work. The push is intended to build on the success of Freesat's Easter advertising campaign, which helped the platform overtake BT Vision to become the fourth-biggest TV service in the UK.

Freesat has also announced it will become the first free-to-air broadcaster to carry the BBC iPlayer platform. Beta testing will begin in the coming weeks, with full roll-out expected over the next few months.
