Freeman takes on GNM director role

Adam Freeman has been appointed commercial director of Guardian News and Media, succeeding Stuart Taylor who, as reported last week, takes up the new position of commercial director of GMG Radio in September.

Freeman is currently deputy commercial director and a member of the GNM board.

He joined the company in 1992 as a client sales executive, rising to the position of magazine agency sales manager. Freeman left in 2000 to become sales and marketing director at emagazineshop.com, before returning to GNM in 2002 in the role of media publisher.

He became head of commercial development for Guardian Unlimited later the same year. Two years later he was appointed deputy ad director before becoming deputy commercial director and joining the GNM board in 2006.
