Goodwood Motor Circuit
When it isn't staging Goodwood Revival, the Chichester motor circuit is available to hire for a wide range of events from the more typical track days and car launches, to music and sports gatherings. It is the only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form, having been restored over a six-year period in 1998, in preparation for the inaugural Goodwood Revival that year. In addition to the circuit, Goodwood is home to 12,000 acres of estate, with 32 miles of woodland trails, as well as a selection of on-site buildings for event use.
Mercedes-Benz World
The UK home of German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is located in Weybridge, just a short journey from London. It forms part of the Brooklands site – regarded as the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation – and a haven for motoring enthusiasts. There are five tracks to choose from, as well as several blank canvas rooms within the exhibition facility, which boasts two car lifts, each capable of lifting over six tonnes. Capacities range from 1,000 in the exhibition area to seven in suite 63. Other facilities on the Brooklands site include a museum and a four-star hotel.
Millbrook Proving Ground
Situated on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, the 700 acre automotive test centre is a popular choice for track and training events within the automotive industry. Motorcycle brand Harley-Davidson launched its Project Livewire European Experience Tour at the site in May last year, and film buffs may recognise it as the setting from the famous Aston Martin stunt in Casino Royale. There are four large blank canvas spaces on site, with space for up to 1,250 guests.
Battersea Evolution
Motoring events are somewhat of a specialty for this purpose built venue tucked away in London's Battersea Park, which is being relaunched later this month. It was chosen to host the inaugural London Motor Show featuring more than 40 car manufacturers and 130 models this year, and has already been named as host for 2017. It offers capacity for up to 4,000 guests and has a total footprint of 5,650sqm split into four main areas; a 450sqm glass fronted atrium, a 3,750sqm main arena, a 700sqm mezzanine level and 750sqm back of house area that can also be used as event space.
