Former Cadbury man named Tyrrell's marketing director

Oliver Rudgard has been appointed to the position of marketing director for Tyrrell's, the potato-chip brand, with immediate effect.

Rudgard will be brand champion for the hand-cooked potato chips as the product is extended into markets across Europe and Asia.

He will report to David Milner, chief executive of Tyrrell’s.

Rudgard joins the company from Cadbury’s, where he was the global category director, premium giving and seasonal, from 2008.

Prior to this, Rudgard worked at Unilever for six years, becoming global marketing manager for the FMCG company’s Heartbrand category in 2006, overseeing Ben & Jerry’s, Solero and Cornetto icecream brands, among others.

Between 2002 and 2006 he was senior brand manager for Magnum ice cream, and was responsible for running the Magnum brand in the UK and the launch of the Magnum Seven Deadly Sins range.
