A TV ad, part of Ford's ongoing global campaign for its Focus model, will screen during the match between Manchester United and Barcelona on Saturday (28 May). However, the end of the ad has been tweaked to highlight Ford of Britain’s centennial celebrations.
The global campaign for Focus launched in February, aimed at building a consistent brand position across its regional markets, while maintaining "local flavour".
Separately, Ford will be using its stand at the Uefa Champions Festival event being held from May 21 to 28 in Hyde Park, London, to push its Focus Cam camera technology.
Consumers will be able to use the kiosk, devised by Imagination, to feature in 180-degree videos, shot with 40 cameras. They can then access the videos at Fordfocuscam.com.
Mark Jones, European sponsorship manager at Ford, said: "Over 100,000 fans from the UK and around the world will come to the festival and, by giving them a fun and engaging experience, we aim to encourage fans to share some great content inspired by our camera technologies. Having real people talk about our products is far more effective than big brands just telling consumers direct."
