Flight Centre to review UK media account

LONDON - Flight Centre, the global travel agent, is planning to review its UK media account estimated to be worth £500,000.

Flight Centre to review UK media account

Total Media currently holds the UK account. The travel brand has not carried out any high-profile marketing campaigns in recent years but the pitch will include offline and online marketing activity.

In June an ad campaign was run by Tourism South Australia in association with Flight Centre whici satirised the MPs' expenses scandal. The campaign used mocked-up censored claim forms and offered consumers the chance to ‘live like MPs' and claim free holidays to Adelaide's Kangaroo Island.

The direct campaign carried no commercial branding but the logos of the South Australian Government, the airline Qantas and Flight Centre were included in the press ads.

A pitch is expected to run in January with agencies currently being approached by the travel brand.

A spokes person for Flight Centre said the review had not been confirmed.
