The app, which is currently only available on the iPhone, will allow users to upload, share and tag photos and videos while staying in touch with the Flickr community. Apple iPhone users can download the app through the iTunes App store and the Flickr mobile site.
Flickr, which has grown rapidly since it launched in 2004, has five million monthly unique users in the UK, according to comScore. It was acquired by Yahoo in 2005.
The app will be available in English, French and Chinese for users in the UK, France, Singapore, Hong Kong, US and Canada. Yahoo has also made its Yahoo Finance and Yahoo Fantasy Football available as mobile applications in the US and Canada.
Other apps will available through the iPhone and BlackBerry and Yahoo Fantasy Football will also be available through mobile websites.
