Flextech mulls Bravo interactive channel launch

LONDON – Flextech is planning to launch a Bravo spin-off channel that will feature up to five hours of interactive programming a day.

Bravo Player, like its male-skewed older sibling Bravo TV, will air football, Ultimate Fighting, motor racing and action-adventure programmes.

It will feature up to five hours of interactive programming a day where viewers can get involved in shows via their red button or mobile telephones. The channel is due for launch in 2006.

Bravo Player will feature programmes complementary to the main channel.

In addition, the broadcaster is looking for partners to devise programming formats for the channel.

Interactive specialists Two Way TV will provide the red button services for Bravo after signing a content deal with Flextech in October.

Flextech, which is also behind Bravo's sister channels Trouble and Challenge as well as Living TV, refused to comment on the launch.
