Characters in 'Swinging' include middle-class swingers, ignorant sex counselors, neurotic boyfriends and a gay fiance.
The six-part series is being made by independent production company Monkey, which is also behind Five show 'Swag' where robbers are caught out, and is due for broadcast later this year.
It marks the first time Five has commissioned its own comedy series, having previously paid for US acquisitions such as 'Joey' and 'Two and a Half Men'.
Five is also bringing back its Vanessa Feltz-fronted plastic surgery show, 'All New Cosmetic Surgery Live' for two weeks in spring.
Feltz will be joined by former 'EastEnders' actress Daniella Westbrook and Dr Jan Adams as UK patients are filmed going under the knife.
New to the show is Melissa Rivers, daughter of comedian and plastic surgery enthusiast Joan Rivers, who will be presenting live from Hollywood every night.
Feltz said: "I couldn't be more chuffed to be back presenting 'Cosmetic Surgery Live' because it seems that everyone from your grandma to the bus driver to the Sunday school teacher fancies a bit of nip and tuck to improve their looks and this series should give them all the pointers they need."
In the show, viewers will be able to follow one British woman's journey as she undergoes numerous operations to achieve the "perfect body".
