±±¾©Èü³µpk10 interviews leaders from Verizon Media's RYOT Studio and their partners Digital Catapult to learn how they are already using 5G to deliver better customer experiences.
We spoke to two creative leaders about the production of next-generation content using 5G and some of the myths that persist in the media industry. From believing ‘5G is a long way off’ and ‘not much going on that affects me’ – to the thinking that it's all about faster download speeds and smartphones, 5G is an easy can to kick down the road. But 5G is already here. It’s in the infrastructure, the way we are producing content experiences, how we are connecting live sports and music venues, how it makes instant, real-time AR and VR possible.
5G will affect every part of our lives as both creators and consumers; brands need to prepare now for this fourth industrial revolution.
RYOT Studio is part of Verizon Media, with Verizon already rolling out 5G in the US and planning to hit 30 American cities by the end of 2020. Digital Catapult is a UK accelerator programme that helps businesses look at how they can adopt future technology. Digital Catapult are working with RYOT Studio as part of their CreativeXR programme.
