The 12th annual event kicked off with a keynote session by Melvin Gold of Melvin Gold Consulting, who offered an insight into where the economy currently stands for the UK hospitality industry.
Last night also saw the return of the HBAA Awards, with Etc Venues, Principal Hayley, De Vere Hotels, Resorts & Venues, First Choice Conference & Events and Expotel Hotel Reservations all picking up gongs for their achievements over the past year.
"We are absolutely delighted with the largest-ever turnout at our annual conference. This is testament to how we operate as an association and the high-profile line-up of speakers," said HBAA chairman Stephen Usher.
The event continues today (9 September).
