Financial Times readies 'Lunch with the FT' promotion

LONDON – The Financial Times is to launch its annual 'Lunch with the FT' promotion, which sees some of the UK's top restaurants offering readers a lunch or dinner for £8-£15.

The promotion will be launched in the Weekend FT on Saturday January 24 when a full list of 367 participating restaurants will be published. Diners can receive a lunch or dinner for £8, £10, £12.50 or £15. The list can also be viewed online on every day from January 24 until February 13.

Nicholas Lander, the FT's restaurant correspondent, said: "The 'Lunch with the FT' promotion provides our readers with the opportunity to dine in first-rate restaurants at incredibly reasonable prices."

The promotion will run for three weeks. Newspaper and FT.com subscribers have the opportunity to view the restaurants online from Friday January 23 enabling them to make bookings a day early.

Diners are also encouraged to make a donation to Save the Children, the FT's chosen charity for the promotion over the past 11 years. During that time over £500,000 has been raised for the children's charity.
