Financial Times loses its US ad director to International Herald Tribune

- The International Herald Tribune has appointed the Financial Times' advertising sales director for the Americas, Michael Geach, as its new vice president, advertising sales for North America.

- The International Herald Tribune has appointed the Financial Times' advertising sales director for the Americas, Michael Geach, as its new vice president, advertising sales for North America.

Based in New York, Geach will be responsible for display and classified advertising sales throughout the Americas region, focusing on the US market. He will report to Ann Blinkhorn, President of IHT North America.

Geach joins the International Herald Tribune following five years with the FT. He was appointed ad sales director, Americas, for the FT in 1997. Prior to that he served as director of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean from 1995 to 1997. He started with the FT as an account manager covering the North East region of the US.

Prior to joining the Financial Times, Geach was co-founding partner of Mad Dogs and Englishmen, an advertising agency, from 1990 to 1993.
