EA Sports, the gaming company, debuted its new Fifa 18 computer game with a series of matches that were live streamed across social media last night.

Those competing included Premier League footballers Dele Alli, Alexander Lacazette and Virgil Van Dyke against eight Fifa YouTubers.

The football games were streamed through UniLad’s Facebook page.

The event at Shoreditch Town Hall also gave fans of the game a chance to play it before launch next Friday.

EA Sports worked with production company Sollik and PR agency Clifford French to put on the event.

Earlier this year, EA Sports appointed Adam & Eve/DDB to handle its ad account. Publicis Media handles the global media account.
