Ferguson in new role at Future

LONDON - Future Publishing has promoted Nial Ferguson, the group publisher of its gadget brand T3, to the new role of publishing director, technology and entertainment lifestyle.

His promotion comes less than a year after he joined Future from Bauer Media, where he was deputy managing director of its men's lifestyle division. In the new role, Ferguson will oversee a wider portfolio of brands, including T3, Classic Rock and Total Film.

Future has also appointed Haymarket commercial executive Paul Button as publisher of T3, a role that was held by Ferguson.

He previously worked in commercial development at Haymarket's gadget title Stuff, responsible for Stuff TV and the Stuff awards. He also spent eight years at VNU as head of sales.
