Fentimans has a dig at Coca-Cola

LONDON - Fentimans, the independent maker of Victorian-style soft drinks, has launched a campaign which is 'poking fun at Coca Cola'.

The company said that the outdoor activity challenges Coca-Cola's traditional monopoly as the cola of choice during the festive season. The activity promotes Fentimans Curiosity Cola and has been created by agency Sell! Sell.

The poster plays upon Coca Cola's ‘The Real Thing' strap line by stating that Curiosity Cola is ‘The Reet Thing', which reflects the company's homeland in the North East of England.

The ad shows a Santa wearing the colours of Curiosity Cola and workman's boots standing over a Father Christmas dressed in his customary red outfit.
