FC Barcelona and Microsoft set for sponsorship deal

It has been reported today that the La Liga and Champions League winners are close to agreeing a deal with the US company during their tour which next sees the team play Seattle Sounders on 6 August.

The club's marketing director Jaume Ferrer is quoted as saying US companies had shown an interest in partnering the team following their recent on-field success.

The club is shirt sponsored by international charity Unicef. Any deal with Microsoft would not affect that deal.
