Farmer joins Freeview today and will be responsible for leading integrated marketing and communications plans and driving sales of Freeview Playback.
He will report to Ilse Howling, Freeview general manager, and will sit on the Freeview board.
Farmer previously held the position of partner at Clemmow Hornby Inge, where he ran campaigns for British Gas and Premier Foods.
Prior to this, he worked at Bartle Bogle Hegarty in London and Asia Pacific as board business director for Levi's Europe. Under his direction, the Levi's 501 'Anti-fit' execution won ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 of the Year at the British Television Advertising Awards.

Reynolds, who is currently on maternity leave, was previously head of strategic marketing at Freeview. She joined the company in 2005 and led the development of its branding strategy. She will now also report to Howling and sit on the Freeview board.
However, Cheryl Sloan will temporarily cover Reynolds' new role over the next year while she remains on leave.
Sloan joins from Camelot where she was head of scratchcards business and was part of the successful bid team for Camelot's third lottery operating licence. Before joining Camelot, she worked in marketing positions at Kimberly-Clark Europe and Mattel Toys.
