Fallon appoints ex-WCRS man Bowles to lead Citi account

LONDON - Fallon Worldwide has appointed Jeremy Bowles, the former WCRS managing partner, to the newly created position of global managing director for its Citi account.

In this position, he will lead the combined Fallon and Publicis team to manage the Citi brand globally. Bowles left WCRS in April of this year.

Prior to working with WCRS, Bowles was managing director at Lowe London and has extensive experience with global brands such as Reebok, Coca-Cola, Colgate and Stella Artois.

Bowles said: "I enjoy working on brands of this scale. Taking a single strategic and creative campaign and launching it around the world is a fascinating challenge. Advertising isn't a blunt instrument; to maximise the effect and relevance of the creative, it is critically important to work closely with each market."

Bowles has experience of winning creative gongs including three IPA awards. He has also worked with other major agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi but this appointment will be his first job based in the US.

Fallon Minneapolis has been handling Citi's advertising in the US since 1999 and the account has now grown to include working with all of Fallon's global offices.

Pat Fallon, chairman of Fallon Worldwide, said: "This is an exciting time to be working with Citi as they expand their global presence and influence. We have searched for the exact person to lead this challenging global role and we have found the ideal person in Jeremy."
