Logan Wilmont, the executive creative director of Boymeetsgirl, has quit the agency. The news comes at a critical time for Boymeetsgirl, which last week revealed that it was making several redundancies.
Chris Chalk, the agency's planning director, is expected to follow Wilmont out of the door, but was not available for comment as ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 went to press.
The agency's founder, Andy Law, confirmed last week that there would be redundancies as part of a restructuring process. Wilmont's departure comes six months after the other two of the agency's three original founders, Kate Stanners and David Pemsel, left following a falling-out with Law over the future direction of the agency.
Law and Chalk led a management buy-out from Stanners, Pemsel and the silent partners, Interpublic Group and Springer & Jacoby. However, payments to these partners are thought to have weighed heavily on the agency.
Wilmont and Chalk areboth believed to have bought equity in Boymeetsgirl.
Wilmont confirmed that he was leaving the agency and said: "I have left and am not going back."
Wilmont, the former executive creative director of Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners in New York, joined the agen-cy in December. He has also worked as the executive creative director of Young & Rubicam. Chalk also moved from the US, joining the agency last July from Goodby Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco.
Boymeetsgirl opened its doors last January with a client list that included DaimlerChrysler and Buena Vista Home Entertainment. The agency successfully repitched for the Total Petrol Stations account at the end of last year.
Law was unavailable for comment.
