Fairfax announces record results

Australian newspaper publisher John Fairfax Holdings has announced record full-year results with profits after tax of £373.7m on revenues up 17.5% to £532m.

LONDON (Brand Republic) 鈥 Australian newspaper publisher John Fairfax Holdings has announced record full-year results with profits after tax of £373.7m on revenues up 17.5% to £532m.

The company attributed its successful year to strong growth in revenues, expansion of the business and the company鈥檚 鈥渁bility to capture significant operating leverage as a result of the business and management improvements that have been implemented over the last two years鈥.

The company鈥檚 business publication鈥檚 ad revenues increased 29% year-on-year while circulation revenue had risen 18.4%. The company鈥檚 share price closed on Monday in Sydney at £2.
