At Facebook, Thomas will be tasked with leading an EMEA team to enable clients and their agencies to engage effectively with the platform. She will report to Will Platt-Higgins, vice-president of global client partnerships.

Thomas will leave Dare at the end of August and join the social media giant in September. She moved to the digital agency in 2013 from Saatchi & Saatchi.

In May, Facebook poached Ben Wood, global president of iProspect, as director of agencies for EMEA.

Its first major hire in the region was Karmarama’s Nicola Mendelsohn in June 2013. MEC’s Steve Hatch joined as UK director in March 2014.

Last year, Facebook also poached Microsoft UK’s Philippa Snare to head its EMEA business marketing.

Dare has promoted managing partner Richard Neish to the position of managing director.
