What are your ambitions/goals for the business?
Our goal is not to run the largest events agency in the UK, but the most creative one. Our ethos reflects that of the Darling Collective as a whole, in that we work with the very best small-scale and niche suppliers to deliver occasions and products of beauty.
We aim to continue to keep ahead of the curve on spotting trends, sourcing and curating fantastic suppliers, and finding innovative ways to bring the story of a brand or event to life.
What is your best piece of work or stand-out moment?
We recently worked with Darling Collective to design and curate a series of creative workshops around the UK in collaboration with Country Homes & Interiors magazine, working really hard to curate the themes of the days, and to find really special teachers and stand-out, on-brand venues.
The finished series included biscuit icing with Nadia Stopnicer - a genius biscuit maker who had never taught before - paper craft with artist Eloise Hall, wallpaper design with Zoe Barker of Beautifully British, and natural beauty product making with Gail Francombe.
Seeing the workshops in print on a double-page spread in the magazine was such a thrill. Watching them come together and seeing how much the participants got out of the days was also really satisfying.
We have also just designed an absolutely gorgeous botanical-themed event at Skylon for one of our corporate clients and we were very proud of our mood boards and designs. We will be installing living herb walls which will be picked and used in the guests' drinks.
What makes you a Fab 50 Newcomer?
With less than a year of trading under our belt, we bring a wealth of experience to bear on a market that is already telling us they love the strength of our ideas and the originality and thought we bring to event pitches. We’re definitely one to watch.
