Experian promotes Lloyd to lead business information arm

LONDON - Experian has promoted Richard Lloyd, the director of its B2B marketing business, to managing director of its business information division.

Lloyd takes up his new role, which has a Europe-wide focus, after five years with Experian, during which time he launched the firm's National Business Database and its acquisition of the Yell Data business.

"One of the key challenges ahead is to create a single solution set to ensure that Experian's business information is the first choice for organisations right across the commercial landscape," he said.

Lloyd replaces Phil Cotter, who was appointed to the newly created role of managing director of its information solutions division last month.

Richard Fiddis, managing director of Experian UK, Ireland and Northern Europe, said: "His leadership style, strategic insight and ability to deliver against targets equips him well to contribute to the development of the wider business information business and to take on this significant role within Experian."

A spokeswoman added that an announcement regarding Lloyd's replacement within the B2B marketing business division is "imminent".

Last month, Experian announced that its first-quarter revenues rose by 26% on last year, due to the recent acquistion of address management software firm QAS and a strong perfomance from its email marketing division Cheetahmail.
