Bolivar Hall near Warren Street station will be used to promote Latin American culture and diversity through a free programme of music, dance and film.

The base will be known as ALBA House, after the Latin American alliance the countries belong to.

It will launch with a VIP event on 28 June, later opening its doors to the public.

The full programme of events is still being finalised, but Event can reveal traditional music and dances, a food festival, art and photography exhibitions, a film festival and a salsa marathon are all in the pipeline.
