The event will be produced and run in association with Australia-based event company Diversified Exhibitions, who manage around 30 of the country's major exhibitions, including the Australian Health & Fitness Expo, the Good Food & Wine Show, and DesignBUILD.
The design and inspiration exhibition already has two successful shows in London and Birmingham, attracting more than 150,000 visitors every year, and launched in Johannesburg earlier this year.
"Our decision to launch the brand into Australian territory comes at a time when the Australian property market is becoming more stable. House prices are beginning to rise, driven by strong domestic demand. At the same time, consumer confidence appears to be on the up as more money is being spent on home renovation and improvements," said Media 10 director Lee Newton.
"We see this as a perfect opportunity to launch Grand Designs Live to the Australian consumer market, making this successful British event an international brand."
Media 10 now holds the largest home interest event portfolio in the UK, attracting some 500,000 visitors per year, having acquired the Ideal Home Show from DMG World Media in December.
