The show is organised by Equidae, whose directors including Ivan Allen have been involved in the Ideal Home Show and Ski and Snowboard Show. Horse World Live hopes to attract 30,000 visitors ranging from families and horse enthusiasts.
Equidae told Event Horse World Live was not seeking to compete with Your Horse Live at Stoneleigh Park in November or the Horse of the Year Show at the NEC in October, as there will be no competition element to the show. A spokesperson said: "The other big shows feature a competition element where riders have to go through heats to compete at the show. Horse World Live is a showcase show; it's about seeing the stars of the sport."
Horse World Live will feature demonstrations and master classes from professional and Olympic riders in an international-sized arena, as well as a ‘Saddle Up’ horse fashion show where the latest equestrian apparel will be displayed on a catwalk.
Visitors can also shop in a retail village, admire the boys in the ‘Stallion Gallery’ and see miniature horses in their own miniature village. How-to and Q&A sessions will take place in an interactive zone where visitors can get advice on topics like fitting a saddle and equine dentistry.
