England’s national football stadium was the focus of much attention last week when it hosted the less-than-triumphant return of the Three Lions.
Thankfully, captain Steven Gerrard saved England’s blushes, but the venue itself also went someway to achieving that, showing off its event spaces with the matchday Club Wembley and FA Club experiences.
The latter is held within the venue’s Great Hall and certainly had some celebrity presence, not only hosting the Under 17 football world champions (England, incredibly) but also the likes of former GMTV host Ben Shephard, and former England international Martin Keown.
The FA Club, which was produced by TBC, saw a pre and post-match discussion in front of a seated crowd as well as canapés before the match and mini pies afterwards.
As a venue never out of the news Wembley is a worthy Venue of the Week.
