Event's Olympics party to raise money for Ben Kinsella Trust

Event's pre-Olympics party on Thursday night (26 July) will be hosting a prize draw and silent auction to raise money for the Ben Kinsella Trust.

The event industry pre-Olympics party hosted by Event and The Ultimate Experience at the House of Nations in Kings Cross on Thursday night (26 July) will be giving away prizes and offering a collection of unique Olympic sporting experiences in a silent auction.

All proceeds from the auction and the prize draw will be going to the Ben Kinsella Trust, which has been set up by Brooke Kinsella to educate young people about knife crime.

Prizes in the raffle will include the chance for four people to play 18 holes at Farleigh golf course, and a free year's subscription to Event magazine.

The slient auction lots include a number of Olympic experiences that money cannot buy including:

  • Train and play handball with the GB women's handball team at Crystal Palace - Reserve price is £145 per person
  • Train and play against the women’s beach volleyballers at Crystal Palace - Reserve price £220 per person
  • Kayak in an Olympic boat with K1 and K2 national champions at Reading Canoe Club - Reserve price £145 per person
  • Learn to synchronise swim and do your own routine in Aldershot or Reading - Reserve price £145 per person
  • Relay running with the Team GB sprinters organised by former sprinter Craig Pickering at Lea Valley - Reserve price is £150 per person
  • Track cycling experience with two times world champion Dani King, including lunch at Newport or Manchester Velodrome - Reserve price is £350 per person
  • Hockey experience with the GB women’s hockey team at Bisham Abbey, including a three-course lunch - Reserve price £350 per person

Guests at the event will also get the opportunity to have their photos taken with the Olympic torch and get to meet former GB swimming champion Mark Foster, while watching Team GB take on Senegal in the first match of the Olympic football tournament.
