Eventia to bolster client/agency relations

Eventia has launched a set of standard terms and conditions, which it hopes will help agencies and clients to strike a fair balance when drawing up contracts.

The template outlines the rights and obligations of both parties and has been developed with the help of legal experts and Eventia members.
 
According to the document, key issues for inclusion in contracts include:
 
The obligations of each party
Payment profiles
Cancellation charges
Liability
Risk assessment
Insurance

The terms have been chosen to suit a wide range of agencies and will be kept under review so that they remain up to date.

"Our aim is that these templates become an industry standard for good practice and fair relationships between agencies and their corporate clients," said chairman of Eventia's Regulation Committee Brian Kirsch.
