I have worked here since August 2010.
I was attracted to this role because unlike lots of jobs the role was enormously challenging, each day is so different and the more people I know in the industry, the more I love my role.
Not many people know that I am a football fanatic and I know more about the game than people think.
My worst experience at an event was hosting a launch of a new brand - ten minutes before guests were due to arrive I decided to test the microphone and sing a little number, not realising the guests and The Mayor of Bath were entering the room. Unfortunately i didn’t get through to boot camp.
If there is one thing I have learnt it’s there is nothing like experience, you go that extra mile to make things happen, people buy people, not companies.
If I could do all over again I would have gone to university and then straight into the hospitality business.
The one thing I can’t stand is prima donnas and office politics, we work in a fast paced industry, so no time for time wasters.
Outside work I spend my time with my two children Joe and Grace, enjoying quality time.
If money were no object I would travel more and work a little less.
The one event I would never miss is my birthday. The perfect excuse to get spoilt.
The Recession has meant that the clients have been more receptive, we have gained a greater understanding of our client’s needs. It’s meant we can be really customer focused and forge a closer relationship
The next 12 months will be really exciting we are already seeing a marked upswing in spend within our existing client base, which has meant growth for the brand. We will be challenging, progressive and I don’t expect much sleep in the next 12 months.
If I could switch with anyone else in the industry it would be my boss as he has the best team to work with.
If I ruled the industry I would like for everyone to keep coming up with new ideas to remain competitive, especially in the current climate, therefore we can offer more personality, individuality and flexibility.
