I got into events because it raises awareness of Peace Day, 21st of September, our main objective at Peace One Day. It’s also a great way to raise finances to support us in the work that we do.
I have worked here since 1998 when I founded the organisation.
I was attracted to this particular role because I’m a filmmaker and the Peace One Day project began life as a documentary film, i.e. documenting how to establish the first ever day of seize fire and non-violence. I’m delighted it succeeded and the organisation has grown to so much more since its original conception.
Not many people know that I love wakeboarding.
My worst experience at an event was not selling enough tickets!
If there’s one thing I’ve learnt its focus on the process not the end result.
The best event I’ve been involved in was the first concert we ever did at Brixton Academy.
If I could do it all over again I would do it exactly the same way.
The one thing I can’t stand is blaming people.
Outside of work I spend my time on the sea.
If money were no object I believe we could get the world to stop fighting.
The one event I will never miss is my daughter’s birthday.
The next 12 months will be challenging.
If I could switch places with anyone else it would be Lewis Hamilton.
If I ruled the world I would make sure nobody went hungry.
