I got into the events industry because I wanted to travel and see the world.
I have worked here since January 1995.
I was attracted to this particular role because of the history related to Trinity House and the very maritime nature of the organisation.
Not many people know that Trinity House is not just a venue, but also the largest endowed maritime charity in the country, granting millions of pounds a year to other maritime charities.
My worst experience at an event was 300 guests arriving into a marquee at Silverstone for the Grand Prix, knowing that the staff were stuck on a coach outside the track.
If there's one thing I've learnt it's check, check and double check.
The best event I've been involved in was entertaining the Norwegian Royal Family at a Fjord hotel in Norway.
If I could do it all over again I would make sure I savour the views from the spectacular places I have worked, the present view being The Tower of London.
The one thing I can't stand is clients that are not interested in the history of Trinity House, thank goodness only one in 15 years.
Outside of work I spend my time walking, sailing, skiing.
If money were no object I would walk, sail and ski.
The one event I will never miss is Trinitytide at Trinity House which is when The Master of The House is elected, The Duke of Edinburgh has been Master since 1969.
The recession has meant that I've had more evenings off.
The next 12 months will be interesting, especially now that business is starting to pick up.
If I could switch places with anyone else in the industry it would be the team at Clipper Ventures, who have great sailing boats on The Solent.
If I ruled the event industry I would have lots of small intimate dinners at Trinity House, with Pol Roger.
