The auction, which ends today (8 August), aims to raise funds for the agency’s 2014 charity partner, Red Bull’s Wings for Life, a not-for-profit spinal cord research foundation.
Smyle, which was the technical and design partner for the event, had a replica of a Formula One car on show for guests to have a picture taken with. Giant plasma screens were showing the latest results of the auction, and fundraisers were on hand to collect money in buckets from attendees.
Rick Stainton, managing director at Smyle, told Event: "We are really pleased that we raised hundreds of pounds during Sportfest, as this will help us to reach our target of £12,000 for Wings for Life."
This year's Sportfest welcomed 2,500 visitors, including families and sports professionals, who came together to share world-class sports coaching, take part in competitions, camp out, listen to music and enjoy food from Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts.
