Hometown has collaborated with agency Kru Live to cover staffing and full implementation of Rakuten Superbag, which will feature an open-air screening of Disney’s Maleficent. The retailer is set to provide beanbags, ponchos and umbrellas for approximately 100 guests.
Targeting children, families and online shoppers, the event will also showcase four bespoke interactive gaming platforms. These can be played for a chance of winning a range of prizes, including a trip to Japan.
Saturday night will also see a performance from singer Stacey Solomon and a sing-a-long screening of the film Frozen. Rakuten, which owns brands Viber, Wuaki TV and Kobo, promises the events will include mass world record attempts.
The Rakuten Superbag will also tour Cardiff, Glasgow and Manchester following the London activation.
