Event TV: O2 enlists Jamie Laing for #WaggyTails food drop

Made in Chelsea (MIC) star Jamie Laing joined forces with telecoms brand O2 yesterday (3 August) to front its #WaggyTails digital and live experience.

Laing took to the streets of London on a scooter and branded van delivering treats around the capital. O2 encouraged its Twitter followers to request treat deliveries throughout the day using the hashtag #WaggyTails.

The MIC lothario also did a stint in a kitchen, creating a ‘Sexy Sicilian’ pizza topped with Gorgonzola cheese, chorizo and ‘posh peppers’. He worked alongside the O2 delivery team to distribute his creations alongside cookies, ice creams and cinema tickets.

O2’s #WaggyTails campaign has been designed to showcase the rewards on offer to members of its Priority scheme. The brand teamed up with the likes of Millie’s Cookies, Boots UK, Odeon, Caffè Nero and Zizzi to deliver its experiential delivery service in both Leeds and London.

Members of the public who post pictures of themselves receiving their treat on social media using the handle @O2 and the hashtag #WaggyTails will also have a chance to win VIP tickets for The O2 and private cinema screenings.

O2’s internal social team developed the initiative alongside PR agency Hope & Glory.
