Devised and executed by Taylor Herring PR, the stunt saw children waiting at Kwik Fit’s garage in Whestone, north London gasp as Father Christmas himself arrived to have his sleigh checked over before his big day.
The real-life Santa then addressed every child by name and presented them with gifts from the back of his Christmas chariot. Each present was exactly what the kids had requested in their letters to the North Pole earlier in the month.
Kwik Fit’s staff orchestrated the surprise with help from the children’s parents.
The stunt was designed to promote Kwik Fit’s free winter safety checks for customers this Christmas. It was filmed using hidden cameras and released as video content yesterday (17 November).
Kenji Murai, chief executive of Kwik Fit, said: "We wanted to give our customers' children an incredible treat in the lead up to Christmas. With help from Santa and his reindeer we gave the children a festive surprise as their parents had their cars serviced by our technicians.
"We had a sneak peek at the children’s letters to Santa and made sure they got everything they wished for."
