Residents near the Pontcysllte Aqueduct were treated to a view of the half-tonne Golden Bedford Rascal camper being flown 2,000 feet in the air by a hot air balloon.

The event was filmed and uploaded as content to YouTube on Friday (23 October).

The stunt aimed to raise awareness of the Heineken brand’s new series Helluva Tour, which will document a cast of four strangers as they take a road trip from London to Australia – the country where Foster’s was first brewed in 1888. The foursome are embarking on their 17,000 mile trip in a similar Bedford van.

Helluva Tour has been created by agency Adam&EveDDB. It will be shown on the broadcaster’s digital platform, All 4, this month.

Ifeoma Dozie, brand director at Heineken, said: "We’re really excited about the Foster’s Helluva Tour, a unique adventure not just for those in the campervan but also for those tracking their progress on television and at home. This is an epic, once-in-a-lifetime journey - and our awesome foursome, with their ‘why the hell not’ attitude, will have experiences to remember forever."
