The exclusive networking event begun with a breakfast in the venue’s restaurant Babylon. Attendees were then invited into a private event space where Marc-Henry de Jong of Stagestruck, Event Sessions’ event partner, delivered a short presentation demonstrating the company's most recent work with Marks & Spencer.
Yasmin Arrigo, editor-in-chief of Event, chaired the discussion exploring Generation Z and how events should be tailored around them. Topics that were explored included the definition of this type of consumer audience, how brands can market to Generation Z, engaging with this audience pre- and post-event and gamification.
Attendees included Kerry Alligan from Lendlease, Tanya Easterman of Odeon Cinemas UK, Phoebe Hunter-Mcilveen from Fever Tree and Victoria Capper of Permira Advisers LLP.
Arrigo said: "We wanted to host smaller discussions with like-minded event professionals who want to explore key issues and trends affecting the industry. We are all either welcoming, or soon to be welcoming, Generation Z at our own events so it’s essential that we understand how to engage best with them."
